Chronos and Kairos

The invention of the clock changed the way we live our lives from a relaxed pace and inner sense of time to our actions being measured by quantitative time.

The Ancient Greeks had 2 words to describe time: Chronos and Kairos. Chronos is linear and quantifiable, whereas Kairos is qualitative; a time of opportunity. If you wake up at 6am because the clock says so, you are living by chronological time. If you wake up at 6am because you feel like it you are living by kairological time. Kairos is freedom to live your life at the pace that feels right to you by your own inner sense of time. The world will revolve around you.
